DICOND Collaboration Day: A successful day to strengthen the region’s digital competences
On 25 September, Karlstad University together with Compare gathered companies, organisations and students for this year's Digital Competence Network Day (DICOND) - a milestone in the work of securing the future competence in tech in Värmland.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to meet and network with computer science and informatics students, with the aim of creating new forms of collaboration and ensuring that the region remains competitive in the labour market.
– Through events like DICOND, we help strengthen the link between companies and future talent. Our goal is to stimulate the supply of skills in tech and ensure that Värmland is equipped for the digital challenges of the future,” says Marcus Olsson Ramberg, Innovation Manager at Compare.
During the day, companies presented their experiences of collaborating with the university, while students got an insight into and direct contact with the regional business community.
Karlstad University also highlighted its opportunities to strengthen ties with the business community and how collaboration can lead to better conditions for both students and companies.
– We are pleased that nearly 70 people attended the event, and even more have shown interest in this type of collaboration. Compare looks forward to getting more involved in initiatives like this to secure the region’s future competence in digitalisation and tech,” Marcus concludes.
