Can AI support improve the chain of care for young people with mental health problems?
Today, 10 October, is World Mental Health Day. In honour of this day, we would like to highlight our Child and Youth Journey project, which aims to contribute to an improved chain of care for children and young people with mental health problems.
By developing AI support, communication and coordination between agencies could be improved. Children and young people with mental health problems should not have to get stuck in an administrative trap. The journey through the system should be as smooth as possible.
Within the project, we aim to identify AI-based tools that could be integrated into existing processes to support and guide staff to get a better overview of the needs of children and young people, thus contributing to smoother coordination and decision support. The idea is that the tools can be used in schools, student health, social services, and the region’s activities, such as youth clinics, first line and health centres. In other words, anyone who meets children and young people with mental health problems.
Important steps will be taken during the fall of 2025. Exactly what that means will be revealed in the near future. Keep an eye on our project page for more information in the future.
Unique collaboration boosts companies in AI and cybersecurity
For two years, the Mighty EDIH collaborative project has helped four businesses and public organisations a week take steps towards a more digital and secure future. Through advice, analyses and training, they have been supported in everything from understanding and using AI to strengthening their IT security and broadening their networks.
Swedish-Norwegian co-operation to strengthen cyber and societal security
On 1-2 October, a Swedish-Norwegian meeting was held in Karlstad within our Interreg project Cross Border Cyber Capacity. In the city where the dissolution of the union took place 120 years ago, new ties have now been forged between Sweden and Norway. Together we are strengthening the capacity for cyber and societal security.
